What’s your WHY? Have you ever thought about why should I make a lifestyle change that would effect my nutrition and fitness level but all you come up with is a list of why you can’t do it?
Picture it, New Year’s Eve 2016 and I was about to make yet another resolution that would crumble within ten days of 2017 and yet make me feel like I failed myself again! But something was different about me, I was ready! I was going to make it my year and change the course of my life for myself foremost but for my family as well.
In October 2017 I had the gastric sleeve starting out with a weight of 297 pounds. Now people have told me I took the easy way, their perception but it was me that has managed to keep off 165 pounds for the last six years. It was me who kept digging every day to make sure my lifestyle changes were permanent. I learned from many great individuals in the fitness industry that all taught me different things but the secret was ME!
I have been a nurse for 21 years, earned two master’s degrees, one in nursing and one in business and I love taking care of people. However, what has always been at the forefront of my career is how our lifestyle, nutrition, and fitness level dictate our health. I want to inspire people to take control of their nutrition and fitness goals and make them sustainable for whatever season of life you are in. Trust me there will be so many seasons and ones you never thought you would be in.
I’m not only a nurse, certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, wife, and mother of two but a girl who wants to see other women/men succeed in building a sustainable healthy lifestyle but never feel like they are missing out!
